sulla partenza di Sunday, sinceramente non ho idea nemmeno io, su streets ci sta

lo spettacolo è diviso in 3 "atti"

prima atto gli U2 pre albero

secondo atto...l'albero

terzo atto U2 post albero

 

se l'idea è quella di seguire un percorso cronologico, sinceramente non può che stare li...1/2 ora o meno di pe albero e poi attacco con streets

ma guarada secondo me è piu giusto fare piu in la tutto l'album,cosi sale l'attesa e ridurre gli encores.per quanto riguarda il fatto di approfittare di andare in bagno oppure andare a prendere una birra penso che è un problema che sussiste da quando tutti noi conosciamo da tempo prima le scalette dei tour,dato che sono sempre molto ingessate in base ai gusti msicali dei fans ognuno sceglie il proprio momento adatto

 

comunque andare in bagno su red hill, a prescindere da come la eseguono, è da meritarsi Vertigo, Elevation, All Because of You, Crazy e via dicendo

Per me pur se non è la perfezione che sogno, questa red hill vale tutte le sopracitate al solo attacco

Il problema di avere un lato B non così 'nazionalpopolare' come il lato A ci sarebbe anche mischiando le carte e si andrebbe a perdere quella che è la compattezza di questa scaletta.
D'altronde TJT è assolutamente un capolavoro unanimemente riconosciuto, ma non è l'album da dove sono usciti 7-8 singoli

Pur essendo d'accordo con te, torniamo al discorso ormai trito e ritrito che negli stadi la percentuale dei casual fan è molto alta e non è una questione che red hill sia meglio delle altre, è che il casual fan red hill non la conosce proprio. È una 'New song' come little things

il punto è che OGGETTIVAMENTE il lato b di Jt contiene un paio di pezzi minori

ed è molto inferiore al lato A, che peraltro contiene i 3 singoli famosissimi

 

è per quello che ipotizzavo una partenza con bullet e lo spostamento delle prime 3 dopo mothers, con mlk (che guarda caso nella prima data hanno suonato) come "intro" di streets

Tu ci scherzi ma io sostengo da una vita che Venditti e Vedder abbiano voci molto molto simili.

3.) The show's structure could use some tweaking. I'm not generally one to complain about the songs U2 chooses to play in concert, and I'm not going to do that here, but I think the overall structure could be improved. Like many fans I've spoken with, it felt like the show reached The Joshua Tree too soon. Five songs before "Streets" didn't feel like enough foreplay; it needs more buildup. And six songs in the encore felt a bit long. Do 7-8 songs to start the show, then play the album, then 3-4 songs in the encore and I think the show would flow better.

4.) I wonder if U2 will follow Springsteen's lead. When U2 announced this tour, there were a lot of comparisons to Bruce Springsteen's recent tour for his album The River. Like the Boss did with that album, U2 is playing The Joshua Tree in full and in sequence. But what few U2 fans have also mentioned is that Springsteen eventually changed his mind and, before The River tour went to Europe, announced that he'd stop playing the entire album in sequence every show. Was it because he and the band got tired of doing the full album in order night after night? Was it because fans were using some of the lesser-known songs as a bathroom/food/beer break? I don't follow Springsteen closely enough to know (maybe you do?), but I did notice a good amount of fans on the GA floor last night tuning out during side B -- leaving their spots to get a beer or maybe hit the bathroom during "Red Hill Mining Town" or "Trip Through Your Wires." If that continues at other shows, I have to think the band would notice. Would they reconsider things the same way Springsteen did? Wouldn't surprise me.

Concordo pienamente, soprattutto sul punto 3. Ma credo che lo show sia stato strutturato così proprio perchè la band (e la produzione) sono consapevoli anche di ciò che Mcgee dice nel punto 4. Sarebbe certamente meglio allungare il percorso che porta a JT e diminuire i pezzi successivi....ma questo forse scontenterebbe chi, dopo la parte meno conosciuta e meno trainante di JT, vorrebbe tornare ad essere maggiormente coinvolto.

Personalmente spero continuino a suonare TUTTO JT e in sequenza.

Speriamo. Certo è che UV a Vancouver (a Seattle non lo so, non ho ancora ascoltato nulla) è stata eseguita malissimo

Anche secondo me mancano almeno un paio di canzoni prima di JT.

Basterebbe spostare I will follow in apertura seguita da Gloria tanto per rappresentare i primi 2 album e poi continuare con SBS, sai che spettacolo..........

Concordo fin dall'inizio con chi vuole mescolare la carte nel suonare l'albero, il lato B contiene troppi brani sconosciuti ai casual fans, spararli tutti di fila mi pare troppo. 

L'unico album che non avrebbe problemi a suonarlo in sequenza è il meraviglioso Achtung Baby di cui adesso pretendo un tour tra 4 anni!

la sua discografia degli anni '70 (e per me fino a cuore) è di altissimo livello...poi......burrone

Io sarò di bocca buona, ma per me l'albero ha un lato b quasi alla pari del lato a (PER ME  Exit è la canzone degli U2, la trippletta Ext-One Tree Hill e Mohers è migliore di Streets-I Still-With or....e Mothers...forse la miglior chiusura di un disco U2)...che poi commercialmente le prime 3 hanno fatto il botto....su questo non ci piove

Casso, stiamo parlando di un disco capolavoro, mica di una cosa qualunque

Trip è l'unica che trovo "minore", ma di fronte ai soliti tormentoni di questi ultimi 20 anni PER ME è un mezzo capolavoro

There is something symbolic for Larry, who set the band in motion years ago, to also set the concert in motion with Sunday. The 5 pre-JT songs in the set are political, which is how the band perceived themselves in the years leading up to JT. The post JT songs in the set are softer love / relationship songs. So I picture U2 is telling us that the JT completely transformed them as a band. To start with Sunday and technically end the show with Miss Sarajevo is a cool idea, both songs concerning war scenarios but created with a completely different style and a completely different look at the world.

l'unica cosa che non cambierà sarà l'esecuzione di tutte le canzoni di JT

 

ma non credo che sarà suonato in sequenza per i prossimi 30 show
