During the show, Bono's face is digitally transformed into the devilish MacPhisto character as he targets extreme right wing activists.

Mr. MacPhisto was first created by Bono for the Zoo TV tour as it wound through Europe in 1993. The name refers to Mephisto, a demon in German literature, who works for Lucifer.

"Look at you Berlin, you don't know what you have got, do you?

"This city, so old, so new.

"So wonderful and it's yours. It's not anyone else's.

"You don't have to share it with people,'' the devil declares.

"You don't have to share it with f.f.f.oreigners,'' MacPhisto hisses.

"Maybe the tourists, but not foreigners.''

"I'm just back from America.

"It's full of foreigners,'' he continues.

"Everyone's a foreigner but the good news is The Donald is on top of the situation.

"You could do with someone like this around here.

"You do have one come to think of it.

"What's her name. A.F.D. Alternative for Democracy,'' Bono rails, in reference to the anti-immigration party Alternative for German (AfD).

Crowd: [whoops and whistles]

MacPhisto: "What? Don't look at me. Look at you... Berlin! You don't know what you've got... do you? This city – so old... so new... so wonderful. And it's yours. It's not anyone else's. You don't have to share it with people you don't... know. You don't have to share it with f-- f-- f-- foreigners!" [sniggers]

Crowd: [whoops and whistles]

MacPhisto: "Maybe tourists, but not f-- f-- f-- foreigners. I'm just back from America. It's FULL of foreigners!"

Crowd: [cheers and applause]

MacPhisto: "Everyone's a f-- f-- foreigner. But the good news... is The Donald is on top of the situation."

Crowd: [whistles and applause]

MacPhisto: "You could do with someone like that around here. And... you have one, come to think of it. What's her name? A-- A... no, no, not Angela. I-- I know her initials. Erm... A... f... D."

Crowd: [whoops]

MacPhisto: "Alternative für Demokratie." [shouts in German accent] "Alternative für Demokratie?!"

Crowd: [cheers and whistles]

MacPhisto: "Initials are important!  Mine's an 'M'. Mac...Phisto!"

Crowd: [cheers and applause]

MacPhisto: "Not Mc...Donald's. I was a handsome devil. Some say... I still am. And Berlin? One last thing. It's when you don't believe I exist – that's when I do my best work!"

[Acrobat begins]

Molto belli! Io non ho ancora tatuaggi, ma sto pensando da tempo di farne uno dedicato a loro, solo che dev'essere speciale, è per questo che ancora non l'ho fatto, ci sto ancora riflettendo su

Non per fare la rompi ma questo topic è dedicato a Mr. MacPhisto e... ce n'era uno dedicato ai tatuaggi U2ici dei fan sul forum (così per spaziare liberamente ), andrebbe solamente ripescato...

Lo scorso anno ho esagerato, sulla caviglia destra ho la fasciona rossa con la sagoma dello schermo dello scorso anno, con in negativo il Joshua Tree e le sagome dei nostri 4

Il rischio è che si perda di vista l'argomento principale, che almeno io trovo particolarmente interessante...  sarebbe un peccato!

quindi, tornando all'argomento, guardando la prima sera, chiaro riferimento e indirizzo sui migranti "but not f-- f-- f-- foreigners" seguito da un Donald che qui può permettersi di attaccare meglio.

 

"Alternative für Demokratie?!" era riferito a cosa? mi sfugge qualche ricordo?
