la mia impressione è che lui non si sia "incattivito" solo per l'esperienza, ma anche perchè in questi ultimi anni c'è stato un regresso (io lo considero tale) nei rapporti umani che si manifesta, tra l'altro, con la salita al potere di certi "personaggi pubblici" che esprimono ideali o idee, fanno scelte politiche alle quali negli anni novanta ci si sarebbe ribellati

Ciao ely, sottoscrivo. Una versione diabolica senza dubbio più malmostosa, inciprignita, ed assai meno incline alla goliardia, rispetto al fulgido passato.

Le cause, come giustamente osservi tu, risiedono proprio nell'inquietante e sinistra regressione socio-antropologica che si registra nell'alveo dei rapporti umani.

Insomma, chi alla vigilia del tour paventava una pedissequa riproposizione del MacPhisto anni '90, si sarà dovuto ricredere.

Concordo.
Bono/MacPhisto sta lanciando in tutti i modi il suo messaggio: l'avanzata del lato oscuro. Bono denuncia il timore di un ritorno di certi “fantasmi” e orrori della storia dell'umanità.
Guardando “in casa nostra”, penso al mio discorso preferito delle nostre date, ovvero quando cita il vecchio “amico” Benito. A tal proposito pensavo e trovavo interessante fare un “raffronto” tra il discorso di quest'anno e la famosa telefonata degli anni '90 alla nipote. Tutto ciò per fare qualche considerazione che, per quanto mi riguarda, non fa altro che confermare le mie impressioni (che a quanto pare sono anche le vostre ) riguardo all'alter ego diabolico di Bono.

Se nella telefonata degli anni '90 tenta di chiamare la nipote Alessandra, lasciando un messaggio nella segreteria e dicendole che sta facendo un ottimo lavoro per sostituire il vecchio e che sarà sempre con lei nello spirito, adesso oserei dire che va dritto al punto, ricordando quanto di “buono” (a suo modo di dire/vedere) aveva fatto il suo nonno (“he did have some... excellent ideas. Avendo vissuto la temperie del primo MacPhisto, posso dirti che dalla giustapposizione dei due dialoghi emerge in maniera pittosto irrefragabile un aspetto cruciale, figlio delle radicali differenze, a livello sociale, ma anche sotto il profilo delle speranze cullate in ottica futura, che intercorrono tra le due epoche: negli anni '90 l'approccio era meno mordace, più scanzonato e vocato al dileggio bonario; per converso, quello odierno denota un atteggiamento deliberatamente graffiante e provocatorio. Il diavolo di oggi non si trincera dietro l'usbergo di sarcasmi malcelati, ma preferisce additare, tacciare enfaticamente i responsabili delle nefandezze e degli atti ignominiosi che ci si parano dinanzi nelle cronache di ogni giorno.

Il primo MacPhisto, insomma, ci scherzava su, cavalcando il convincimento (legittimo) che il peggio fosse ormai alle spalle.

Questo MacPhisto scaglia denunce vibranti, circonfuso da una cortina di scetticismo e timore mentre rivolge il suo sguardo disincantato al domani.

Siamo quasi (purtroppo) all'epilogo del Tour e lo si evince anche dall'ultimo discorso di Dublino...
In pochi minuti Bono/MacPhisto è riuscito a condensare un sacco di cose: episodi, situazioni e nomi a livello mondiale, riassumendo il concetto con le sue frasi chiave... Fantastico!
